PETE
GERRELL - is a sixth generation native of Wakulla County, Florida.
Generations of his family have lived and survived in the pine
flatwoods associated with the naval stores and timber industries.
Throughout his life he has collected information and artifacts
having to do with these industries and the cultures they promoted.
Pete
is retired. He now enjoys spending much of his time preserving the
past in written word and artifact form and passing that knowledge on
to his grandchildren. He also continues to manage his tree farm of
long leaf and slash pine as he strives to preserve the history and
beauty of the pine forest.
